It seems that we know very little about the lives of our ancestors - the first people. We have no written evidence of their history, and we can only guess about their life, beliefs and lifestyle from rare finds, burials and sites. Is this enough? As it turns out, yes. Stones and skulls can tell us a lot about the past: how families lived, how children became adults, how people baited hunting luck, how they discovered new lands, how they tamed the first animals and even how they treated teeth. We think that Stone Age people are infinitely distant from us and that we are nothing like them, but it's unfair to think so: there was much more human about Paleolithic people than we realize. 50 illustrated stories show that our ancestors were not just homo, but also human.
