Biological and computer vision
49.99 €
The book is devoted to the development of artificial intelligence in computer vision and combines approaches that allow to consider this topic at the intersection of biology and mathematical modeling.
The first part of the book deals with the biological basis of vision: the reader gets acquainted with various aspects of visual perception and learns what neuron structures provide it, what processes occur in the brain when recognizing images. The second part presents different structures of mathematical models - neural networks - and the principles of their operation. Deep convolutional neural networks, machine learning and generative adversarial networks are touched upon in particular. The last chapter is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of consciousness itself. The publication is intended for a general audience interested in artificial intelligence and computer vision, in particular how machines learn to see and interpret the visual world.
