This is a unique manual for teaching counting skills to schoolchildren. It combines examples and tasks on all topics of the elementary school math course. The manual consists of 56 sections, each of which is devoted to a separate topic. The section consists of three parts:
- Examples for practicing speed counting skills. The page contains 5 columns of 35 examples each. At the end of the column, the time the student spent on the solution is recorded. In the lower left corner there are benchmarks: ideal time for solving one column, satisfactory time and the result that should make the pupil think. As practice shows, a pupil has fully mastered the topic if he/she solves the example and writes down the answer within 4-7 seconds. In this case, we can say that the skill of counting is brought to automaticity. - Logical examples. Performing these tasks develops logical and mathematical thinking, memory and attention. At the teacher's discretion, the examples can be used both for Olympiad works and tasks of increased complexity, and for repeating and consolidating the passed topic. Checks and tests. With their help, the teacher will be able to quickly assess students' calculation skills and identify "weaknesses". The manual can be used as supplementary material for math lessons, as well as for lessons at home.
