The Bloody Tablets of Japanese Militarism: The Tokyo and Khabarovsk Trials
39.99 €
This unique publication is dedicated to two important milestones in the history of the past century—major international trials whose meaning and results must not be forgotten. The most important trial in human history, the Nuremberg "Trial of Nations" against the major Nazi criminals, which took place in 1945–1946, overlooked the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany's allies—the "Japanese Reich." The International Criminal Tribunal in Tokyo from 1946–1948 brought the Second World War to a definitive end. It convicted the instigators of the wars in China and Manchuria, the "samurai" driven by the goals of world domination, the enslavement of small nations, and the assertion of the right of the "chosen few" to disregard any rules regarding "inferior" races. The 1949 Khabarovsk trial of the "executioners of hell"—Japanese military personnel involved in the creation of death factories where horrific chemical and biological weapons tests were conducted on living humans—has never received due recognition in global historical scholarship. Yet, had these monsters succeeded in their diabolical plans, the loss of life in World War II could have reached hundreds of millions. Few know about these events today. This book serves as a reminder that terror against civilians must not and cannot go unpunished.
