Marina and Roman come to a dacha village to rent a house for the New Year vacations. The holidays promise to be bright, except that Roman is suddenly summoned to a patient: he never has time to see the house and its owner. Marina alone gets acquainted with her and learns that she is a widow whose husband died tragically on a hunting trip. His murder was never solved. Gradually the long-awaited vacation begins to be overshadowed by strange events: an abandoned building on the site suddenly turns out to be inhabited, and in the window of the first floor of the cottage at night peeks scary creature, scaring Marina to death. Hot desire to get to the bottom of the truth pushes the heroine as soon as possible to understand the mysticism of what is happening. But who would have thought that it is her husband is directly related to the terrible incidents that swarms the quiet village?
A mystery novel that will take the reader not only through the mystical labyrinths of strange events, but also through the darkness of the human soul, where the creatures hide much more terrible than the most vile monsters.
