Every spring, the poet Ivan Bezdomny comes to the cherished bench on Patriarch's Ponds, where the most amazing encounter of his life once took place. And a completely different hero - Pontius Pilate for two thousand years sees the moonlit road and one condemned man, whose fate it fell to him to decide.
"The Master and Margarita" is a fascinating story with a double bottom: the plot line with the appearance of Satan in Moscow in the 1930s is intertwined with excerpts from the novel, which is written by one of the main characters - the Master. In the finale, both lines intersect and each of the characters gets what's coming to him.

Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov wrote his novel for 12 years, but never finished it. The final version of "The Master and Margarita", restored from rough notes, was published many years after the writer's death. During the Soviet era, censorship did not allow the publication of many passages from the novel, but now anyone can read this book, which has already become a recognized classic of 20th century literature.

The gift edition of the novel with illustrations by artist A. Nikolaev is published for the first time.
