This book presents three of the most well-known systems of quantitative measurement of thinking disorders abroad and one new assessment system developed by the author. All of them are created in accordance with the requirements for the reliability and validity of measurement scales, which standardize both the definitions and procedures for quantitative assessment of the severity of thinking disorders. The author's assessment system even specifies quantitative criteria for differentiating thinking disorders in schizophrenia spectrum disorders and those in psychoorganic syndrome and in the norm.

Each system has its own advantages and limitations, which are described in detail. Despite all the imperfections of such measurement scales, without them it is impossible to increase the objectivity of assessments of thinking disorders, ensure their reproducibility, comparability and observation of the dynamics of indicators as the disease progresses or different types of therapeutic intervention are used.

In domestic medical psychology there are no similar psychometric scales, therefore the materials of this book can become widely in demand not only among practitioners (medical psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists) and students of the specified specialties, but also among researchers of thinking and its pathology in various fields of knowledge (neuropsychology, neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics, philology, philosophy, development of artificial intelligence, etc.).
