Petya is twelve years old, and six months ago he didn’t even know about such a sport as Russian hockey. When he and his classmates try to put together a team in an abandoned village on the shore of a cold ocean, difficulties quickly arise: the location is unfortunate, no one knows how to skate, and no one has a uniform... A championship is about to take place, for which no one on the team is ready. But Petya and his friends believe that everything is possible if you go for your goal. In addition, they accidentally get their hands on a mysterious 19th-century diary. They don’t know who kept it or how the diary ended up on the edge of the earth, but it seems to answer their questions, and also tells about travels and their native places. But will it lead the team to victory?

Dmitry Ishchenko lives in Murmansk, at various times worked as a journalist, screenwriter, and director of documentary films. Dmitry’s interest in the North even took him to the polar archipelago of Spitsbergen, where few people have been. His story "Teriberka" was shortlisted for the I. P. Belkin Prize, and "In Search of the Boyish God" received the V. P. Krapivin Prize in the "Children's Jury's Choice" category.
