"The Origin of the Partocracy" is a work by the distinguished writer, Soviet historian, and Doctor of Political Science A. Avtorkhanov. The work is divided into two volumes: "The Central Committee and Lenin" and "The Central Committee and Stalin."

Based on documentary evidence, the author demonstrates how "Leninist principles" transformed the Bolshevik Party from an ideological and political organization of like-minded individuals into an instrument of the leader's personal dictatorship. He demonstrates that Stalinism was merely the logical conclusion of Leninism. The gradual establishment of the communist partocracy in the USSR is described in engaging and simple language.

It was A. Avtorkhanov who coined the term "partocracy" and described and researched this system.
