"Blindness, among other things, is also being in a world where hope has disappeared."

Patient zero suddenly goes blind while stopped at a traffic light. A compassionate citizen takes him home and steals the car. The next day, the doctor checks the blind man's eyes and does not understand the reason. A few hours later, white blindness overtakes the thief, then the doctor, and then everyone who came into contact with them. The pandemic cannot be stopped. Only the doctor's wife does not lose her sight. But this is a curse, not a blessing. She will see how people lose their human appearance, how dirt engulfs the city and how a ray of hope shines...

This is a disaster novel. A metaphorical novel. Moral blindness becomes physical blindness. The author's style of the writer - the absence of direct speech, exclamation marks and question marks - makes the reader lose their usual landmarks and, in an allegorical sense, plunge into blindness.
