The biography of the Greek ascetic, old Tarso, Christ for the sake of the yurodious (1910-1989), was written by John Cornarakis, who knew her well personally. The author deeply reveals the essence of the feat of folly on the basis of the ascetic teaching of the Holy Fathers with the involvement of the achievements of deep psychology of the XX century.

Professor John Kornarakis (1926-2013) is the founder and long-term head of the Department of Pastoral Psychology at the Theological Faculty at the University of Athens, who discovered the enormous benefits of twentieth-century psychology for conscious Christian life and pastoral ministry. He is the author of numerous books that help a Christian to understand his neighbor, and a priest – the one who came to him for confession.
