Willpower is usually understood as a person's ability to overcome obstacles standing in the way of achieving a goal. In Stalin's Soviet Union, cultivating willpower in children was one of the most important tasks of schools. However, the majority of teachers still experienced significant difficulties in this educational endeavor. In particular, at that time, there were few books that provided teachers with specific methodological support in developing strong-willed character traits in students. Years have passed, and books on parenting abound, but the problem now lies elsewhere: how to find a truly worthy publication among tons of waste paper. This book is intended for teachers and parents; it explores issues of cultivating willpower in children from the perspective of the classical Soviet school of the 1950s.
