Irina Antonova is the legendary director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, where she worked for seventy-five years. A woman known throughout the world. The painting exhibitions that she held at the Museum became bright cultural events in Moscow. She was friends with presidents, politicians and ambassadors of various countries, who considered it a great honor for their countries to present museum collections at the Moscow Pushkin Museum.
In her book, she talks about her childhood, youth, war years, meetings with famous people (among them Marc Chagall, Ilya Ehrenburg, A. Matisse's wife Lydia Delektorskaya) and about serving great art. The book is organically complemented by photographs reflecting not only the events of the author's life, but also the cultural history of the country over the past sixty years.
