A forgotten bookstore in Paris
14.99 €
Paris, 1940: war is approaching the city of love. Jacques Duval, the owner of a small bookstore, and his beautiful wife were madly in love and dreamed of a bright future, until one day everything collapsed with the arrival of the Nazis. His wife is forced into hiding, and Jacques must stand by and watch as the Nazis take away everything he holds dear. Everything, that is, except for the last ray of hope: his beloved bookstore. When one night a young woman with a child knocks on his door begging for refuge, he realizes his only option is to risk everything once again to save his life...

Present day: Juliette and her husband have finally reached France, embarking on the romantic getaway of their dreams, but with each passing day she realizes more and more how far apart they have become after 25 years of marriage. After the devastating news of his infidelity, Juliette decides to start a new life in Paris, her grandmother's birthplace. She longs to learn about her family's past when she stumbles upon an abandoned bookstore with a "For Sale" sign in the window, feeling that this place is destined for her.
