Elena Posvyatovskaya's prose is hard to find an analog in modern literature. Balancing on the edge between melodramatism, high tragedy and ordinariness, Posvyatovskaya's stories are able to reach every reader with their apparent simplicity, which hides not simple stories. For the first time, the book of stories "The Fox Lived in a Hut" was published in 2021. This edition continues the series "Time to Read Women".

The book includes 16 stories, organized in two sections "So and so lived" and "Everything is different". The titles of the sections are remarkable: they make it clear that the material from which Posvyatovskaya weaves her stories is life itself in all its manifestations, which turns out to be sometimes no less turbulent than Shakespearean tragedies.
