Courts and the Rule of Law: A Dutch Perspective
9.99 €
The author, former President of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands (2008–2014), aims to explain the concept of the rule of law in all its depth and diversity, drawing primarily on case law from his own Court, as well as from the European Court of Human Rights and the US Supreme Court. He focuses primarily on the judiciary and its complex relationship with the executive and legislative branches.

The book is written in a lively, non-legalistic style and is intended for a wide audience: the author is convinced that the rule of law cannot exist without the support of society as a whole.
